Castle Hill House has hosted many happy marriages over the past 120 years. Fred Skull & Ellen Peace were married at Castle Hill House in 1901. It was also the Peace Family Home. After 51 years of marriage, the couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Built in nearly two acres wooded gardens and Grade II listed, this house dates back to 1660. These grounds are designated a protected Ancient Monument. There have been archaeological finds that show people used the area as a settlement as far back as Saxon times.
